The Indie Grits Festival parties are the icing on the cake, the cream of the crop -- you get the idea. Every Indie Grits event, from the film lineup and Slow Food at Indie Grits at Indie Grits and each concert, is fun, but if that's not enough, we have parties planned.
***IF NEEDED FOR OPENING PARTY RAIN LOCATION WILL BE AT TAPP'S ART CENTER***
6 p.m.: VIP screening of Charlie ToddÙs We Cause Scenes at the Nickelodeon Theatre at 1607 Main Street. Charlie Todd, founder of Improv Everywhere, will also be in attendance for a talkback following the film. All festival pass holders will be granted admission to this limited-seating screening.
7-10 p.m.: The Indie Grits Opening Party on the 1600 block of Main Street will feature food from local food trucks and beer and wine available for purchase. The party will also feature a full lineup of live music, including Say Brother, The Royal Tinfoil (from Charleston, S.C.) and a DJ previewing the sounds of ColumbiaÙs first Hip Hop Family Day. Admission is free.
