Welcome to Kindie Grits presented by the SC Governor’s School for the Arts! This year we have multiple events for children to experience the magic of Indie Grits.  We are proud to partner with the SC Governor’s School for the ArtsRichland County Library, Indie Bits, the TAPPS Art Center, and our own filmmakers to offer these events.

For the first time ever, Kindie Grits will be partnering up with the SC Governor’s School for the Arts. They are launching a brand new animation program next year, and we could not be happier to get involved!

Making an Indie Game in 2 Hours or Your Pizza is Free.

Time: 10am – 12pm
Place: Richland County Library – Teen Center


In this workshop hosted by the extraordinary game maker and boom-box aficionado JJ Shephard, kids will be going over the very basics of creating an independent video game. Mr. Shephard will be  showing you, the audience, how to create one!  Kids will be going over each critical role, one-by-one, and merging together art and science into a game.  Also there may or may not be pizza.
