In this colorful portrayal of West African society, Columbia videographer Lee Ann Kornegay traveled to Conakry, Guinea to film this extraordinary account of a poor society rich in a centuries-old musical heritage that attracts artists from all over the world.

Lee Ann was a drummer, dancer and photographer with Columbia’s Djoliba Don West African Drum and Dance Ensemble.  Like other members of the group, she has made several trips to Conakry.
