Finally...

Posted: 11:24 AM

We're excited to finally announce this year's lineup of films, music and special events.  After months of reviewing submissions our selection committee and I finally culled it down to just over 40 films.  We received over 150 entries this year which was more than either of our previous two years.

In addition to all of our competition programs we've got some exciting special programs.  Thanks to support from The Humanities Council jurors Georg Koszulinski and Roger Beebe will both be presenting some of their personal work during the festival.  Georg will also be leading a workshop on Saturday morning on guerilla filmmaking techniques so keep an eye out for that.

Friday night we're venturing into music once again.  We're excited to have Des Ark from Durham, NC headlining that night's show at CMFA.  Also performing will be The Heist and the Accomplice, Thank God and The Noise, all of whom have music videos and/or film scores in the festival.

We're also really excited to be partnering with the 701 Center for Contemporary Art.  We'll have a bunch of screenings over there on Saturday night, wrapping things up with what looks to be an amazing party.

So now the fun part starts...i think.
