american watercolors

Spencer Neale purchased a 1977 Datsun B210 for 500 dollars off a fiddle player in Santa Fe, New Mexico and drove the vehicle on a sacramental burial tour of the southwest. Through the red soaked lands of New Mexico, into the sprawling nowhere country of the Navajo reservation, unto the endless Grand Canyon & finally to that ugly sprawl of soot covered machinery and psychedelic daydream that is Los Angeles. American Watercolors is a film about experience, spontaneity, and hitting the open road in search of the country at large.
