2014 Weekly Revue

Hosted by the actor, comedian, and master ceremonies, Toby Lou, the Weekly Revue has been dazzling, educating, and entertaining its followers for almost a decade from New Orleans to Philadelphia. This hodgepodge variety show designed by Toby Lou “to edify and romance the people” has most recently teamed up with Court 13, the production company that brought us Beasts of the Southern Wild , and traveled to Columbia, SC for the first time! Toby Lou presented his Revue as a curated late night variety show with a wide range of performances: Mipso joined the Weekly Revue as the house band, while traveling New Orleans filmmaker Bill Ross of the Ross Brothers jumped into the mix. Ross took home the Big Grit Prize from the 2012 Indie Grits Fest and have also wont the Best Documentary Prize from SXSW, as well as a host of other awards. As well, Columbia’s own Jamie Self, government reporter for The State newspaper, hosted a Q&A about the inner workings of that crazy machine known as the SC State House.
